INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare your fabric, mark the center, and place the fabric in your embroidery hoop as described in the “Getting Started” section. (If this is your first project, you can learn how to read a cross-stitch pattern and how to stitch a cross-stitch in that section as well!)

2. Stitching with two strands of embroidery floss, work your way through one section of color at a time, stitching the Blanche and lipstick figures first. Ensure that all of your stitches cross in the same direction.

3. To finish, complete the lettering using backstitch. If you’d like a bolder look for these letters, feel free to use three strands of embroidery floss instead of two.
